Chota Imambara

Rumi Darwaza
Rumi Darwaza — This grand entrance of Lucknow is a piece of architectural excellence. This 60-foot tall gate was constructed in 1784 at the behest of Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula and is a replica of the Sublime Porte, which served as the main entrance to the Imperial city in Istanbul, Turkey. This gate was built for a very noble reason, as the Nawab at that time wanted to help Awadhi workers, hence making them build this great Rumi Darwaza in exchange for their everyday meals. This gate is between the Bara Imambara and Chota Imambara, showing ancient Awadhi architecture. Though the rush of vehicles and the brunt of time has certainly weakened it, it still stands strong, looking even more resplendent when lit up at night.

British Residency
During the Indian Rebellion 1857, the British Residency in Lucknow was a pivotal historical landmark. The Pearl Palace
The Pearl Palace, or Moti Mahal Palace, is a historic building situated on the banks of the Gomti River in Lucknow adjacent to Mubarak Manzil and Shah Manzil.
